PPC - Support
"Unable to communicate with PPC"

"Unable to communicate with PPC" means the computer has not successfully connected
to the PPC.
The first step is to make sure that both the USB & COM-cables are both connected.
If more than one is available try using the other COM-port on your computer.
Make sure you have no other programs running on your computer as this may intefere with the
process.
Try again with another COM-cable.
Try again with another computer.
If all this fails contact your dealer.
How do I know if new software is available for my PPC ?

You will be notified via email when new software is available for your car or PPC.
Logon at the PPC homepage with your username and password and simply download the new software.
The PPC unit shows "Read car"

This is because the tuned software does not match your vehicles software exactly,
this is a safety feature which prevents the vehicles software being damaged. When ” Read
car” is displayed press enter, this uploads the information from the car into the PPC
unit . This will allow BSR to look at both maps and tune it correctly before sending
the map back to you. This is done in the next step shown below.
The first step is to log on to: http://www.bsrab.se/ppc/
You will then see “PPC update” this is the program needed to download to the PPC
unit. To attempt this yourself you need the OPS Number which is on the reverse side of the
ppc unit written in pen.
The next step is to “download to PPC” If you still only see “read car” then
you must follow “upload to PPC”. This will allow BSR technicians to modify the
vehicles original software for you to download at a later date.
This can take anywhere between 4 hours and 5 working days depending on the work involved. However
BSR technicians would prioritize any units with this problem, resolving any issues as soon
as possible. If you have any problems your distributor will do this for you. The "Read Car" system
is not a fault it is a safety feature and any issues can be overcome.
The PPC unit shows Error I or S

This error occurs when:
* the PPC is removed while programming
* the ignition is turned off while programming
* trying to tune the car with the ignition turned off
If the problem persists after eliminating the above reasons please contact your BSR dealer
as you need to send the PPC or ECU to them in order to resolve the problem.
Where do I get my OPS number ?
------------------------------------
Your OPS number should be written on backside of the PPC.
When you bought the PPC an e-mail was sent to you with your login, password and OPS number
details.
If for any reason you do not have this information plesae contact your dealer.
